Scientists estimated that around 1,000 years BC, there were 50 million people in the world. When Christ was born, the population of the earth was approximately 200 million.

The first billion was reached at the beginning of the 19th century.

In 1960, there were over 3 billion people in the world.

At the end of the Cold War there were over 5.3 billion people in the world!

The 21st century began with over 6.1 billion people…

And now, at the end of 2022, we have reached 8 billion!

According to the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), the world will have 9 billion people in 2037 and 10 billion in 2056…
