Ukraine in numbers

Before the full-scale Russian invasion in February (the unofficial war between Russia and Ukraine started in 2014! Ukraine was one of the world’s tops exporters of certain agricultural products (data from OEC, 2020)

  • sunflower seed oil – number 1. in the world (56%)
  • corn – number 4. in the world (12.8%)
  • barley – number 4. in the world (11.6%)
  • wheat – number 5. in the world (8.97%)
  • sorghum – number 6. in the world (1.2%)
  • soybean – number 6. in the world (1.14%)
  • soybean oil – number 8. in the world (2.18%)
  • rapseed oil – number 10. in the world (2.52%)
